Google Classroom is a completely cloud-based teaching platform with a robust and varied selection of tools suitable for practically any teaching environment or class subject. If you've ever used Google online software like Sheets, Docs, or Slides, you'll find the interface here very easy to use, and that modular design makes it easy to construct a virtual environment that suits your classroom. All students can connect to the same secure ecosystem created by the teacher and interact with their peers in a controlled environment.

Of course, Google Classroom is more than just the existing Google Suite app with some security features applied. The same streamlined and intuitive design that Google uses for their consumer based cloud platform allow teachers to upload or edit assignments, create groups for collaboration with other instructors, and share grades with students and parents.

Some students have complaints with the software's interface in that it can be difficult to switch between a document, but it can be very effective if the teacher communicates the issue well enough. Fortunately, communication is very easy on Google's platform.

Students can use the Announcements, Assignments, and Questions tools to keep in touch with their teachers. The Announcements tab is great for those wanting to share links and clips with their peers or teachers. Anyone who's used Twitter will feel comfortable with Google Classroom's Announcement interface. With the Assignments tab, teachers can more easily give their students assignments and adjust existing assignments. The Questions tab is a tool for teachers to contact students directly and assign them with questions they can answer at their leisure and be assigned feedback even outside of class hours.
